C2D Safe Studio Covid Plan
Please check for symptoms before coming to the studio. Please stay home if you are not feeling well, have a fever, or have been in contact with anyone infected with COVID-19. If your dancer is coughing, sneezing, or has a runny nose, we will not be able to have them join us for in person class. They may participate in virtual class if they are feeling up to it.
Please make sure you have your dance clothes on and have used the restroom before you arrive at the studio. Please bring your own water bottle from home that has your name on it. The CDC recommends disposable water bottles. Cups will be unavailable and the drinking fountain will be closed for your safety.
When you arrive at the studio, please park your car and walk your dancer to the front door (Not our main door). The front door is in the front of the building closest to Belle Mead Rd.
During drop off, face masks and social distancing are required for all dancers, parents, and staff.
Dancers will be permitted to bring one small dance bag into the studio. Please make sure all items you need for your dance class are placed in your small bag. Your bag will need to fit in our new 13x13 cubbies. Please do not bring personal items such as electronics, or toys. These items have the potential to spread germs and should remain at home.
Please arrive no sooner than 5 minutes before your scheduled class time.
Parents will wait outside with their dancer until they are welcomed into the studio at class time by a staff member.
ALL students and staff will have their temperature checked with a touchless thermometer when entering the studio. Anyone with a temperature over 100 degrees will not be permitted to enter.
ALL students and staff will also be required to sanitize hands before entering the studio. Only students, and staff will be allowed in the studio.
For dancers ages 6 & under, ONE parent may enter the studio to accompany their child, if needed. That parent can dance in the same square as their child or wait for their dancer in their car or socially distanced at the studio.
Once in the studio, dancers will find a Waiting Spot in the green room to sit down on. They will put on their dance shoes and wait for the rest of their class to arrive.
At class time, dancers will one at time put their dance bag in a cubby, get hand sanitizer, and go to their special Dancing Spot.
Chance To Dance has made social dis-dancing fun! Our dance floors have been sectioned off into child friendly colorful 6’x6’ foot dance spaces with Chance To Dance stickers to ensure dancers remain 6 feet apart.
Dancers and staff will be adhering to all social distancing rules.
*Face masks will be required at all times. When dancers are in their 6’x6’ dance space, they will be permitted to take mask and water breaks*
When class is over, one at a time dancers will get their hands sanitized, pick up their dance bags and wait socially distanced for their parents
Masks and social distancing are required for all dancers, parents, and staff during pick up.
We have created a one way safe flow of traffic drive through pick up area in the back of the studio at our main door.
Please enter the studio parking lot on the north side (closest to Sheep Pasture Rd.)
Pull up to the main door with your Chance To Dance car window sign filled out with your dancer’s first and last name. Chance To Dance car window signs should be displayed on the driver’s side window. Click Here to download your C2D Car Window Sign.
Parents please remain in your car. A staff member will bring your dancer out to you.
Please continue driving and exit the parking lot on the south side (closest to 347).
Chance To Dance has proudly implemented some additional safety measures.
Staff will be sanitizing all high touch areas before each class. This includes floors, barres, mats, stereo equipment, door handles and light switches. The entire studio will be disinfected every night. Deep cleaning will be performed by a professional company weekly. Bathrooms will be cleaned after each use.
We have reduced our maximum capacity by 50%
Contactless payments can be made via auto payment or online in your parent portal.
We have created signage to make staff, parents and students aware of all COVID 19 procedures and safety protocols
Our Student Lounge is Closed for everyones safety.
We have Staggered our Class times to ensure a smooth drop off and pick up.
Students will be encouraged to cough into their elbow or use a tissue and dispose of it immediately. Tissues will be supplied in every dance room and small enclosed trash bins will be available to dispose of any germs safely.
Our waiting room has been closed to reduce occupancy.
We have removed the majority of our furniture.
If you need new shoes or dance wear, you may shop for anything you need before or after your dance class.
All Chance To Dance staff members will be educated and trained on all COVID 19 procedures and safety protocols
Unfortunately, hugs, high 5’s, partner work, and lifts are not recommended at this time. We understand this will be extremely hard. All we want to do is hug each other when we finally get to see everyone in person again. To keep everyone as safe and as germ free as possible, we will have no physical contact. We will be using other ways to show our studio love.
Scarves, hula hoops, ribbon sticks and other props will be sanitized or washed before each use.
Attendance will be taken at each class for contact tracing. This will allow us to know who is in the building at all times.
Air purifiers with UV-C light have been installed to help kill airborne viruses in each dance room. The electrostatic hepa media air filter reduces up to 99.97% of harmful germs, dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and other allergens as small as .3 microns from the air.
We have upgraded our studio technology to enable live streaming capabilities for any student choosing to stay home at this time. We support the choices you make and we have options for both in person and virtual classes.
All families will be required to read and sign our Chance To Dance Safe Studio Document before your dancer will be allowed to re-enter the studio. This ensures everyone is aware of the procedures and policies in place to keep our community and families as safe as possible.
Thank you so much for your cooperation.
